I recently tried a free rapid COVID test in Berlin and had a great experience. The staff were friendly, and the doctor even said "Gut!" when he learned I was from China. He told me the test kits were also made in China.
But now, appointments (Termin) are getting harder to book. Some test centers are already booked three weeks out. If you suddenly decide to go shopping and need a negative test, it's a hassle.
