The biggest mistake non-technical learners make is “understand the technology first, then use it” — as inefficient as “understand car engine principles first, then drive.” The correct path starts with applications, understanding mechanisms only when problems arise. Important insight: by 2024, AI tools are “natural language friendly” enough that conversation in natural Chinese can accomplish large amounts of work — no programming languages or special commands needed.
## 8-Week Learning Plan
**Weeks 1-2: Basic operation and mindset establishment**. Goal: complete 20 AI conversations; build the intuition that “AI is a conversational tool.” Daily: choose one work task to complete with AI assistance (drafting emails, summarizing documents, organizing meeting notes); note which prompts work and which don’t; don’t pursue perfection — building the habit is most important. Start with Claude or ChatGPT’s free version; no cost investment needed.
**Weeks 3-4: Advanced Prompt design**. Goal: build a personal Prompt template library (10+ validated effective templates). Systematically learn the five-element Prompt framework (role + task + context + examples + constraints); solidify high-frequency work task Prompts into templates; begin using AI for more complex tasks (analysis reports, competitive intelligence compilation, planning document initial drafts).
**Weeks 5-6: Tool expansion and workflow integration**. Goal: integrate 2-3 AI tools into daily workflow. Explore specialized tools suitable for your work (document generation, meeting transcription, enhanced search); build a task classification system for “AI-involved” vs. “purely manual”; begin quantifying time saved by AI (track weekly).
**Weeks 7-8: Advanced applications and knowledge crystallization**. Goal: build a reusable AI work system. Document validated effective workflows (write as SOPs for long-term use); explore new AI-assisted working methods (AI-assisted market research, AI-assisted decision analysis); share experiences with colleagues; establish team-level AI tool usage standards.
